About Red Pie

We know that legal problems left unattended can undo years of hard work. Red Pie exists to make sure that doesn't happen. We are a specialist legal risk management consultancy working with operators, founders and groups across the hospitality and leisure sector.

We are a consultancy, not a law firm. This means you get senior legal insight, strategy and negotiation without law-firm structures or law-firm costs. We work as an extension of your team: identifying risks early, getting deals structured properly, protecting your brand, and steering disputes to resolution before they become expensive. Where regulated legal services are required, we work alongside trusted regulated firms.

Alongside our hospitality practice, we maintain a specialist arts capability - working with artists, galleries, collectors and heritage organisations on commercial arrangements, intellectual property, and questions of title and provenance. We have a strong track record in discreet dispute resolution and mediation, settling complex matters without publicity or public exposure. Peter Moody

Founder & Principal

Peter has spent more than 30 years advising businesses in hospitality and the arts market - first as a senior partner in London law firms, and now through Red Pie. He understands how hospitality businesses actually operate: the regulation they face, the risks that matter, and the strategies that work.

His particular strengths lie in brand protection and IP exploitation, commercial structuring, and dispute resolution. He is a qualified mediator and recognised authority on preparation for mediation, and is Past Chair of the Suppliers Committee of the British Hospitality Association.

Peter also serves as a Consultant with RIAA Barker Gillette LLP.

Richard Stader

Principal Consultant

A commercial lawyer of more than 25 years' standing, in private practice and as head of legal in-house in Jersey and London. Richard specialises in legal risk management and legal project management, combining strategic leadership with technical depth. He holds an MSc in Organisational Behaviour.

Rebecca focuses on branding, commercial IP and related regulatory work - helping clients build strong brands, protect them from misuse, and identify opportunities for growth. A corporate and commercial lawyer with over 20 years' experience advising entrepreneurial businesses, start-ups and SMEs.
